Full Service Landscape & Construction

Some jobs are one element. Others are a whole outdoor space that has to be excavated, levelled, drained, built, paved, planted and finished, with each stage depending on the one before it. Running that as a single project rather than a series of separate trades is where most of the cost and most of the frustration is saved.

Rather than coordinating separate contractors for paving, concreting, walls and planting, we handle the whole project as one job. One crew, one schedule, one point of contact, from the first sketch through to the final sweep.

  • Single point of contact for the whole project
  • Design that considers every element together
  • One coordinated schedule
  • Consistent quality and finishing throughout

Sequencing is the hidden cost

On a full landscape build, order matters enormously. Drainage goes in before paving. Services and conduit go under hard surfaces before they are poured, not after. Retaining walls and levels are set before anything final is built on top of them. When separate trades run their own schedules, work gets cut into and redone, and that is where budgets go. We plan the sequence up front and run the site to it.

Excavation and getting levels right

Most full projects start with moving ground. Cut and fill, setting finished levels against the house, the boundary and any existing structures, and making sure the whole site drains where it should. Levels decided at this stage determine whether the finished space feels connected to the house or like a series of disconnected platforms.

One team across the whole build

We handle the excavation, concreting, retaining, paving, cladding, fencing and planting ourselves rather than coordinating separate contractors. That means one point of contact, one program, and nobody able to blame the previous trade. It also means the person who set the levels is the person laying the paving on top of them.

Working around a house you live in

Most of this work happens at occupied homes. Access, noise, keeping a path to the door usable, containing dust and mud, and protecting what is staying all have to be managed day to day rather than treated as an afterthought. We keep sites tidy because we have to work in them too.

Full Service Landscape & Construction, answered.

Do you do design as well as construction?

We plan the build: levels, drainage, materials, sequencing and how the elements work together. For heavily designed landscapes some clients come to us with a designer's plan and we build to it, which works well.

How long does a full landscape project take?

It depends entirely on scope, access and weather, and ranges from a few weeks to a few months. We give a realistic program at quote, including the stages that depend on curing or on weather, rather than a best-case number.

Can the work be staged over time?

Yes, and sometimes that is the sensible approach. The important part is planning the whole thing up front even if it is built in stages, so that the early work does not have to be cut into later for drainage, services or levels.

Do you handle council approvals?

We will tell you clearly when an element of your project needs approval or engineering, such as taller retaining walls or structural work. Requirements vary between councils and by what is being built.
